Total population in this five villages is about 900 to 1200 people. 98% of the population were working as farmers. The villagers, mainly doing the so-called paddy nomadic, hunting, fishing, rubber tapper and planting vegetables.  Many of the pupils prepare following their parents to work at their farm rather going to school for knowledge and it was the main problem why there was a lot of drop out at this school.

 BACKGROUND OF THE PUPILS

All pupils who are studying in this school were from the family of a traditional farmers. Their family were really poor. Their parents did not attended any school before and illiterate. The distance between the surrounding villages were very far from the school and that was the main problem for the pupils  to arrive late at school. The  pupils had to get up early in the morning as early as 5am to start their journey to school. Although these pupils begin their journey at 5am every day but they still arrive late because of the weather  was very challenging and unpredictable. These pupils had to  cross rivers, trails, forests and high hills before reaching the school. These pupils usually arrive at the school at 8.00 am whereby the learning lesson starts at 7.00 am. They arrive at school with hard work. When they arrived at school, the pupils will change their clothing with their school uniforms. This situation was very hectic and the pupils looks very tired and sad about their situation. Three hours traveling from home to school was quite tiring for the pupils, perhaps if there is a hostel in the school this problem can be solve.

PUPILS ISSUE / PROBLEM

Many pupils from the villages could not go to school because of the school location was too far from their village. Here are the reasons why the students cannot go to school:

1. Location of the school was very far from home.
2. Wild animals are often disturbing such as wild boar, snakes, wasps and poisonous insects.
3. River often floods. The pupils cannot cross the rivers because there is no bridge available.
4. Many pupils prepare helping their parents such as planting and looking after their brothers/sisters.
