UPSR Result 2012

Congratulation to all my pupils that have contribute their best effort to study and pass their biggest primary school exam(UPSR). Latest information about the SK Naradan result for UPSR 2012 - 35.29% pass, only 6 pupil passes all their five subject. The list of pupils who passes all the five subject will be notified later in this blog. The performance percent is decline compare with last year achievement (54% 2011). We are targeting half of the UPSR candidate pass in their five subject but what to do only six of them pass the examination.

According to my own finding and info from Mr Micheal, only 9 pupils pass the English Exam. My target was eight out of 16 candidate and  the result was beyond my expectation. Actually I'm a little bit sad to look at my poor pupils result compare with other school in Ranau. My wife school, SK Libang Ranau where my wife was an English teacher there for year 6 pupils got 15 A and the rest of the candidate got B and C, only 2 pupils fail. The School got highest percent pass increase compare with previous year performances.

The full report will be published after the school holidays ends. For UPSR 2012 candidate, you may refer your result from PK 1, Mr Micheal Katik.

For those candidate who fail and just pass 2 or 3 subject, don't worry it is not the end of the world for you. There still a lot of chances in the future. Your next target will be PMR and SPM. Pray and always trust to GOD. As a teacher I will prepare for my next year planning and hopefully I will have more pupils pass in their English exam. Don't worry too much my pupils because when Albert Einstien got his O' Level exam, he also got poor result. But what changes a man it was from GOD willing. Stay on the right track and you will find success in the future. All the best SK Naradan Ranau.

SAMPLE ANSWER

Halim is my pen pal. He studies in the Year 6 Best in SK Cemerlang. Halim enjoys outdoor activities such as camping and fishing. We share similar hobbies too. Halim is an active and friendly boy. He is popular in his school and his teachers like him too.

During the last holidays, Halim and his friends went camping together. They were excited and planned for the trip well. They camped in Bukit Nanas quite far from their school. Halim’s uncle, Encik Abdul Rahman accompanied them on the trip. He was an experienced scout so he could look after the boys well and help them . They brought along tents, torchlights, clothes, cooking utensils and enough food for three days.

The weather was fine and everyone was in a happy mood. After getting down from Halim’s uncle new car, they had to walk through a jungle track to reach their campsite. Each of them had to carry their own heavy knapsacks on their backs. The air was fresh and they enjoyed walking . They were happy to get away from the hustle and bustle of their busy town.

Soon they reached their campsite. They saw a beautiful waterfall nearby. The boys pitched their tents and collected firewood for the campfire at night and cooking. After that, they spent a lot of time playing in the cool clear water. Encik Abdul Rahman taught them how to make a fishing rod. Halim and his friends made their own fishing rods from thin branches and twigs.
They had fun trying to catch fish using the fishing rods they had made. They also took turns to cook their simple meals over a fire.

Besides fishing and swimming, the adventurous boys also went jungle trekking . It was a challenging activity as the ground was steep and slippery. Although it was tiring, the boys enjoyed themselves in the jungle. They could see various types of insects and rare birds and plants. They collected some leaves and pebbles for their Science Corner in their class. At night, they had a lovely campfire and sang many camping songs , joked and laughed a lot.

Soon, it was time to return home. They had spent three wonderful days in the jungle. Before leaving their campsite, they made sure that the place was clean. They picked up all the rubbish and put it in a big plastic bag. Halim’s uncle made sure that he had put out the fire carefully. He did not want to cause any forest fires. Then, all of them left the jungle feeling tired but happy. It was an educational and adventurous experience. When they returned home, they wrote down their experience in their diaries.

"GURU INOVATIF MELONJAKKAN TRANSFORMASI"  Happy Teacher Day 2012.... From Harry George

In the education circle, Teacher’s day (Hari Guru) is traditionally ranked among one of the more important ‘festivals’. Although in recent years the meaning of teacher’s day has eroded, due to more emphasis being placed upon exams and results. Hence, UPSR/PMR/SPM/STPM periods are taken as the prime dates in a school’s calendar. So in the spirit of teacher’s day, let Berry Berry Easy share with all Berry Readers some trivia on this sole day dedicated to teachers.

The Origin of Teacher’s Day in Malaysia

Teacher’s day is being celebrated in most countries around the world to commemorate the deeds of teachers all around the world in educating young minds. However, one less-known fact to Malaysian students is that, unlike other ‘festivals’ the date for Teacher’s day is not the same in every country. So why is the 16th of May designated as the official Teacher’s day in Malaysia? I’m sure most students here would have heard of or memorise the noun, Razak Report (Laporan Razak). So how does that link to Teacher’s day?

Here goes the story. On the 16th of May 1956 (one full year before Merdeka), the Federal Legislative Council (Majlis Undang-Undang Persekutuan Tanah Melayu) received suggestions from the Report of the Education Committee (Laporan Jawatankuasa Pelajaran) which forms the core base for our education system in Malaysia. So to commemorate this day, 16th May is selected to be Teacher’s day. The report has since come to be known as the Razak Report. So know you know the historical link. History won’t be so ‘boring’ if you know the stories behind them.

Concluding Remarks

Like any other ‘designated’ day (ie. Mother’s day, Father’s day and the likes), you don’t only need to appreciate the deeds of your teachers on 16th of May. If you respect your teachers, everyday is teacher’s day. Also, you don’t have to only say your thanks to your school teachers, the spirit of teacher’s day goes beyond that. You can even wish your parents or friends who have taught you lessons in life a very Happy Teacher’s Day too. Anybody who has imparted knowledge to you deserves a simple greeting from you.
